Festival Carcassonne 2026: Eclectic Music at Théâtre de la Cité
Since 1957, the Festival de Carcassonne has illuminated summer nights in Aude with a multidisciplinary program. Held at the Grand Théâtre de la Cité (Théâtre Jean Deschamps) in Carcassonne, this historic festival offers each year a rich season blending classical, pop, rock, hip-hop, and jazz. With 22 artists programmed, the 2026 edition promises a month of shows from July 1 to 31 in the exceptional medieval setting of the fortified city.
The 2026 lineup displays remarkable diversity: Ludovico Einaudi, Laurent Gerra, and Clair Obscur : Expedition 33 as headliners. The roster is enriched with Booba, Airbourne, Asaf Avidan, and Alonzo.
The musical palette embraces all genres: neoclassical piano, comedy impersonation, electronic alternative dance, intimate folk, urban hip-hop, Australian rock. This richness ensures programming for all audiences, young to senior, in a unique architectural setting classified as UNESCO World Heritage.
