When does the Charlie Jazz Festival 2026 take place and how long does it last?
The 28th edition of the Charlie Jazz Festival runs from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 July 2026 at the Domaine de Fontblanche in Vitrolles, over four evenings of concerts (a fourth evening was recently added to the festival's format).
When was the festival created?
The Charlie Jazz Festival was founded in 1998 by the Charlie Free association; the 2026 edition is the 28th.
Where do the concerts take place?
Concerts are held on the Scène des Platanes, at the heart of the Domaine de Fontblanche; each evening opens with a brass band elsewhere on the grounds (La Complet'Mandingue, TechnoBrass, Big Butt Foundation and more).
What time do the concerts start?
Evenings begin around 7pm with a brass band, followed by a first concert at 7.30pm and the headliner at 9.30pm.
How many people does the festival welcome?
The 2025 edition set a record with more than 5,000 festival-goers over the four evenings, i.e. roughly 1,250 per night (approximate, re-entries included).
