📋About
Down The Rabbit Hole 2027: a weekend of wooded hills and lake swims near Nijmegen
Down The Rabbit Hole has already set its return: Friday 2 to Sunday 4 July 2027, once again at the Groene Heuvels estate in Beuningen, just outside Nijmegen in the Netherlands. As of late October 2026, the site has yet to name any 2027 artist or open a 2027 ticket sale; the homepage still plays the film of the last edition.
To get a feel for it, look back at 2026. From 3 to 5 July, a site built for 42,000 people at most hosted Beirut, Overmono, Kevin Morby, The Mary Wallopers and Rival Consoles, spanning folk, electronic music and hip-hop, with Genesis Owusu stepping in at Fuzzy Lop for Jim Legxacy. Sticks, that year's special guest, kicked things off on Hotot alongside the Nederlands Philharmonisch, then went on air with VPRO's Nooit Meer Slapen from Tramontana, the talks tent.
The grounds feel like a small country of their own: Hotot and its hill, The Bizarre, Fuzzy Lop, Teddy Widder, the Idyllische Veldje, and Bossa Nova, a stage tucked into the Eden garden where classical music shared the bill with underground acts, followed each night by a marathon theatre show running late into the night. The lake is part of the plan: a group morning dip, a waterside walk, a camera obscura on the shore near Hotot, plus a crafts village called Kakofonia. Food ranged from fries to fine dining, with a new Japanese corner in 2026 (izakaya and sake bar) and vegetarian or vegan dishes at nearly every stall.
Habits worth knowing: camp in your own tent or book a ready-pitched stay, with group pitches and a camper van area too; take the train to Nijmegen, then the free shuttle (or use the paid Park & Walk lot); tickets come on your phone only via Ticketmaster, and payment on site is contactless. The festival aims for zero residual waste by 2030 and now rents out reusable party tents instead of the throwaway kind left behind at the campsites.
See you 2-4 July 2027 in Beuningen: line-up and tickets will be announced on the official site and on Instagram (@dtrh_festival).
