This Dutch boutique festival of 37 artists refuses labels and combines indie rock, alternative pop, electronic, and world music in a resolutely curious program. The 2026 edition features a demanding international selection: Florence + The Machine for grandiose art pop, David Byrne and his postmodern genius, Beirut with his chamber indie folk. What are the dates and duration?
Down The Rabbit Hole 2026 takes place from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July in the Groene Heuvels park in Beuningen (Gelderland). The programme starts around midday on Friday, but the campsite already welcomes festivalgoers from Thursday 12:00 and closes Monday at 14:00.
What is the advised minimum age?
There is no strict age limit ("as young or old as you feel"), but the festival applies an advised minimum age of 16. Visitors under 18 receive a different wristband that does not allow buying alcohol.
Is payment cashless?
Yes. You pay cashless, by card or smartphone (Apple Pay / Google Pay); coins are no longer used. To pay with cash, you load money onto a cashcard at the Wisselkantoor (next to the info desk), up to 150 € per transaction.
What is the nearest station and is there a shuttle?
The festival ticket includes shuttle-bus transport to and from Nijmegen train station. If you drive, an extra parking ticket is required: Park & Walk at 44.50 € (within walking distance) or Park & Shuttle at 29.50 € (free shuttle, also available at night).
Can you swim on site?
Yes: the festival sits by a lake and swimming is allowed between sunrise and sunset, from both the festival grounds and the campsites, without going past the buoy line. Lockers (large and small) are available between the wristband tent and the grounds, and free drinking-water taps let you refill your bottle. Details on the official site.
