Festival Coolritiba 2026: the MPB and Brazilian pop festival in Curitiba
On May 23, 2026, the Pedreira Paulo Leminski in Curitiba, Paraná, hosts Festival Coolritiba, a day dedicated to contemporary MPB and Brazilian pop. This festival brings together 8 artists in the most iconic natural amphitheater of southern Brazil, celebrating the new voices of Brazilian urban music.
The lineup gathers the new generation of MPB, headlined by duo Anavitória with their acoustic pop, singer Céu navigating between jazz pop and reggae, and band Gilsons in pop rock. Ana Frango Elétrico and Chico Chico bring their Brazilian indie touch.
Between northeastern mangue beat and electronic downtempo, the festival explores the richness of modern MPB. The sounds range from funk carioca to more soothing chill-out melodies, through reggae rhythms and sophisticated jazz pop arrangements that characterize this new Brazilian scene.
