Heures Musicales de Binic 2026: seven classical concerts around the Bay of Saint-Brieuc
Now in its 13th edition, the autumn series run by the association Heures Musicales de Binic et de la Baie spans Wednesday 21 to Sunday 25 October 2026 and moves between three towns on the Brittany coast, France: Binic, Saint-Quay-Portrieux and Plérin. That makes seven concerts in five days, held together by violinist Vadim Tchijik, the artistic director, who performs in four of them himself.
It opens in Binic church on Wednesday at 8.30pm with "Mozart en robe de chambre", flute quartets in which flautist Tommaso Benciolini joins Tchijik, violist Gaetano Adorno and cellist Jacques-Pierre Malan. On Thursday, same time, the string trio plays without the flute at the church of Saint-Quay-Portrieux for "Sérénade", a Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert programme. On Friday the scene shifts to the Le Cap auditorium in Plérin, where Ensemble Hyperion takes on Broadway musicals, from Cats and West Side Story to Jesus Christ Superstar.
The weekend is mostly at the Salle de l'Estran in Binic. On Saturday at 11.30am, Duo Mistral (Antonio Puglia, clarinet; Mariano Meloni, piano) travels from Bellini and Bartók to klezmer; at 8.30pm, Tchijik and pianist Ingmar Lazar play the great Viennese sonatas. On Sunday at 11.45am, in the Sainte-Anne chapel by the harbour in Saint-Quay, Roberto Noferini (violin) and Donato D'Antonio (guitar) play Corelli, Paganini and Rossini. The series closes at 5pm with Slavic trios, from Dvořák to Glinka, featuring Tchijik, cellist Eric Courrèges and pianist Nicolas Boyer-Lehmann.
A single ticket is 15 €, or 10 € at the reduced rate, for members, jobseekers, under-25s and students with a valid card. The pass for all seven dates costs 70 € (60 € reduced), or 75 € including membership. Under-15s get in free, as does the companion of a visitor with reduced mobility. Tickets are sold on Billetweb, at the tourist offices in Binic, Saint-Quay-Portrieux and Saint-Brieuc, and at the door, which opens thirty minutes before each concert.
