What are the dates of the Isle of Wight Festival 2026?
The festival runs from 18 to 21 June 2026, over four days. The campsite opens on Thursday 18 June at 10am and closes on Monday 22 June at 2pm.
What time do the gates open?
Opening times vary by gate. On Thursday 18 June, Gate A1 (at the bottom of the main car park) opens at 8am and Gate A3 (from the festival bus station) at 10am; Gate A5, the pedestrian entrance near Medina College, opens at 6pm for VIP and non-camping accessibility customers. Once you have your weekend wristband, Gates A1 and A3 stay open 24 hours a day for re-entry.
Is the festival cashless?
Yes, the 2026 edition is entirely cashless: payment is by card (Visa, Mastercard or Amex) or via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Are children welcome, and from what age is a ticket required?
The festival welcomes all ages. Infants aged 2 and under (as at 18 June 2026) enter free of charge. Tickets are available for ages 3-8 (Younger Child) and 9-12 (Older Child), added at the point of purchase, with a maximum of 4 children/infants per booking. Under-16s must be accompanied by a ticket holder aged 18 or over.
How do I reach the site and are there shuttles?
All routes to the Island involve a ferry crossing (Red Funnel, Wightlink or Hovertravel). A shuttle bus serves Newport (details at islandbuses.info). After the festival, from Sunday evening until midday Monday, Southern Vectis runs return shuttles to all ferry ports, including overnight departures.
Are there bike racks?
Yes, bike racks are set up at Gate A5 (near Medina College) and at the front of the main car park. Remember to bring a lock.
