Jazz en Touraine 2026: jazz, funk and Latin in Montlouis-sur-Loire
Jazz en Touraine takes place in Montlouis-sur-Loire, Indre-et-Loire, in the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage site. Over two days in September, with free entry, it offers a programme of jazz, Latin and hip-hop in an exceptional wine-country setting.
The 2026 edition gathers 4 artists: The Buttshakers, Electro Deluxe, Rolando Luna and Yuri Buenaventura.
The selection covers jazz funk, soul jazz, salsa, jazz fusion and R&B. A programme that honours jazz in its connections with soul, funk and Latin music.

How many stages does Jazz en Touraine have?
Concerts are split between three spaces in Montlouis-sur-Loire: Espace Ligéria, a 750-seat hall hosting the 9pm IN headliners, the 250-capacity Magic Mirror for the 7pm IN sets, and the free open stage of the Village Gourmand devoted to the OFF programme. The OFF also travels to 19 partner towns across Touraine.
What are the 2026 dates and how long does it run?
The festival runs from 11 to 20 September 2026 — ten days of music marking its 40th edition, with a companion exhibition of 40 years of festival posters at the Stéphane Hessel media library from 8 to 19 September.
What time does the Village Gourmand open?
Set up on Esplanade Maurice Cullaz, it runs 6pm to midnight on weekdays, noon to midnight on Saturdays and noon to 7pm on Sundays. The on-site box office, in front of Espace Ligéria, opens at 6pm on concert nights.
Is there food and drink on site?
Yes. Around twenty traders share the Village Gourmand between bar and catering stalls, clustered around the free OFF stage. It doubles as the festival's meeting point, with live sets carrying on while you eat.
Is the site wheelchair accessible?
Both venues, Espace Ligéria and the Magic Mirror, take wheelchairs, and since 2023 access panels have been laid across the Village Gourmand to make moving around easier. Vibrating backpacks are also loaned by the Conseil Départemental in exchange for an ID document.
Can I bring children?
Under-12s pay a child rate of €10 at the Magic Mirror and €12 at Espace Ligéria. Noise-cancelling headsets for young ears are lent free of charge at the welcome desk against an ID document, and earplugs are handed out at no cost across every festival site.
Which payment methods does the box office take?
At the counter in front of Espace Ligéria you can pay by cheque, cash, bank card or ANCV holiday cheque. Tickets are also sold through the online box office on the official website, the Montlouis and Vouvray tourist offices, and the Fnac and Ticketmaster networks; Pass Culture and YEP'S credits are accepted.
How many people attend each day?
Organisers report 20,000 festival-goers overall, which works out at roughly 2,000 a day across the ten days. Treat it as approximate (re-entries): the free concerts in the Village Gourmand and in the partner towns inflate the count.
