❓FAQ
Which edition is this, and how many nights?
La Route du Rock stages its 34th Collection Été from Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 August 2026 — four nights. The three-day pass for the Fort de Saint-Père (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) runs from €115 to €135 excluding booking fees, the two-day pass from €80 to €100, and a single day ticket from €40 to €60, with €5 added per ticket bought at the gate.
Where do the shows take place?
On Wednesday evening the traditional opening night is held at La Nouvelle Vague in Saint-Malo. From Thursday to Saturday the nights belong to the Fort de Saint-Père, while the afternoons move to the seafront, on the Bon-Secours and Éventail beaches below the city walls.
Do you have to pay for camping?
The campsite sits at the entrance to the Fort de Saint-Père and costs €5 to €10 excluding booking fees for the Thursday to Saturday nights. The night of Wednesday 12 to Thursday 13 August is free on presentation of a festival ticket. It is open from 14:00 on Wednesday 12 until 12:00 on Sunday 16 August; campervans, vans, caravans and trucks have a free car park a few metres away, but a camping ticket is still needed to use the washing facilities.
What food is available on site?
Food runs day and night at the Fort de Saint-Père: La Foulée for traditional sandwiches, O’Curryeux for tacos, Masala Miam for Indian food, L’As de la Pita, Breizh Gourmandises for crêpes and galettes, Le Camion d’À Côté for burgers, Waffel, Banco for grilled cheese, Calma for empanadas, Richard’s Hot Dog, Froment & Sarrasin for galette-saucisse and moules-frites, and Daniel Tony for Cancale oysters. At the campsite, the Rugby Club de Saint-Père handles breakfasts and Gaillards serves sandwiches and finger food.
Can you bring children?
Yes. A child rate covers under-12s accompanied by a parent holding a ticket, sold only through Shotgun and only for day tickets at the Fort de Saint-Père, on presentation of ID and subject to availability. The festival is, however, strongly discouraged for under-6s. Noise-cancelling headphones for children are lent out at the prevention area in exchange for an ID document, and earplugs are handed out free at the bar counters.
How do you pay at the bars and stands?
Bank cards are accepted directly, contactless included. If you want to pay in cash, head to the Cash converter to get a cashless payment card and load it with credit; any remaining balance can be refunded online from 10:00 on Monday 18 August until midnight on Sunday 31 August.
How do you get to the Fort de Saint-Père by train?
Saint-Malo is 55 minutes from Rennes and 2h30 from Paris by rail. Free shuttle buses provided by Saint-Malo Agglomération link the Fort de Saint-Père, Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets and Saint-Malo — town centre and SNCF station — from Wednesday 12 to Sunday 16 August, running every 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. The TER BreizhGo offer sells a return trip at €19 from any Breton station, valid from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 August until 17:00.
