The Lakelive Festival takes place at the expo-park in Biel/Bienne (Nidau), a bilingual city on the shores of Lake Biel in Switzerland. This ten-day summer festival offers a generous programme blending pop, reggae, hip-hop and world music in a lakeside setting.
The 2026 edition (30 July to 8 August) brings together 44 artists including international names: LENNY KRAVITZ, LOUANE, KEBLACK and MACKLEMORE.
The programme encompasses latin, world and afro trap, with touches of dancehall, folk rock and alternative rock. The diversity of styles reflects the multicultural identity of the Swiss region.

How do I get there, and what is the nearest station?
The festival, on the shore of Lake Biel in Switzerland, is just a 5-minute walk from Biel/Bienne main station, with the main entrance behind the Biel lido (Strandbad). There is no parking on site, so public transport is strongly recommended; bike parking is available nearby and the official taxi rank is at the Schiffländte. Address: Uferweg 40, 2560 Nidau/Biel-Bienne.
What are the dates and how long does it run?
Lakelive runs from 30 July to 8 August 2026, ten days by Lake Biel.
How is the site laid out, and what are the stages?
The grounds are split into three zones: the Show Stage (home to the Main Stage and the Circus Stage), the Meeting Point (Culture Stage, Food Corner, sport and culture) and Sandy Beach, the lido beach.
What are the opening hours?
The grounds (Meeting Point and Sandy Beach) open daily from 9 a.m., closing anywhere between midnight and 3:30 a.m. depending on the day. The Show Stage opens at 4:30 p.m. on concert days.
What food is available on site?
The Food Corner brings together more than ten different stands, like a small street-food festival with something for every taste.
Is the festival child-friendly?
There is no age limit. Children up to and including age 10 enter the whole site for free, Show Stage included; from age 11 a concert ticket is required for the Show Stage. On 2 August a bilingual Kids Openair is free for ages 0-3 (CHF 39 from age 4).
Is the site accessible for wheelchair users?
The grounds are generally wheelchair-accessible, and a raised platform is reserved for wheelchair users at the Main Stage in the Show Stage zone.
Can I pay with cash?
No, no cash circulates at Lakelive: payment is by Twint, Postfinance, Maestro and credit cards.
Is there a campsite?
The festival has no campsite of its own, but there are various places to stay in the Seeland region; to sleep right by Lake Biel, Hotel Camping Sutz is one option.
