An annual gathering for electronic music fans in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Lateral Festival takes over Saint-Étienne every mid-June for a day dedicated to club and electro sounds. Created by the Saint-Étienne collective, this urban festival focuses on a sharp lineup, between minimal techno and bass music.

The 2026 edition brings together 7 artists on June 13. Headliners include Berlin's Marcel Dettmann for minimal techno, Australia's Mall Grab for deep house and bass house, and Stand High Patrol for electronic reggae dub.

The lineup also explores drum & bass, breakbeat, and breaks territory, with offerings between bassline and dub. The festival cultivates an outdoor club atmosphere, with careful scenography and a powerful sound system.
