Okkult Session 2026: doom metal festival in Barcelona, Spain

Okkult Session takes over the Carpa & Picnic at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona on September 27, 2026 for a day dedicated to dark and heavy music. This annual event celebrates doom and death metal in a unique setting, at the heart of this iconic architectural village on Montjuïc hill.

The 2026 edition brings together five bands rooted in extreme metal: PARADISE LOST, pioneers of gothic rock and death-doom metal, Tiamat, Evoken, as well as Hela and Sotabosc.

The programme explores doom metal, gothic metal, death metal, progressive metal, stoner metal and funeral doom metal. A dive into metal's darkest territories, with massive riffs, slowed-down tempos and oppressive atmospheres.
