❓FAQ
How many stages are there?
The 2026 edition runs on three stages and 26 acts: Rajulava, Lokkilava and the Lagunitas Stage, plus the DJ-driven Porisco-disko.
What are the dates and how many nights?
Two days of music, Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August 2026, on the island of Kirjurinluoto right beside central Pori. A two-day ticket also gets you into Kirvatsin Jytä, held on the Wednesday of the same week, at no extra cost.
When do the gates open?
Doors open at 15:30 on Friday and 13:30 on Saturday. Tickets can be swapped for wristbands in advance: from 14:00 on Wednesday 29 July, 16:00 to 20:00 on Thursday 30 July at the ticket container, from 14:30 on Friday and from 13:00 on Saturday. The wristband lets you come and go on both days.
What food is available on site?
Eight food stalls, among them Turo's Heavy Kebab, Blind Burger, Kariniemen Kotspot, Buli Foodtruck, Livistin Hodarit, Smoky Morris and the Greek Ravintola Rhodes, alongside JT Jäätelöt ice cream and the pancakes and doughnuts of Porispere Mummola. Vegetarian and vegan options are part of the offer, water points let you refill your bottle, and your own snacks are welcome: no alcohol, unopened soft drinks only, up to 1.5 litres.
Can children come along?
The festival site is strictly 18+, with one exception: under-12s get in free with their parents and may stay until 21:00. Visitors over 70 also enter free of charge, using a limited batch of wristbands collected from the ticket office during the festival.
Is the site wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Visitors with reduced mobility need their own ticket while a personal assistant gets in free; showing the EU Disability Card, the Ystäväkortti or the visual impairment card speeds things up at the gate. Viewing platforms stand next to the mixing tents at Lokkilava and Rajulava, accessible toilets are spread across the site, and the gravel paths are reasonably wheelchair-friendly. The Vessapassi toilet card is accepted.
How do you pay for parking and the cloakroom?
Cash and cards are both accepted: parking costs 5 € per car at the Hanhipuisto car park, and the guarded cloakroom inside the gates charges 3 € per item.
How do you get there by train or coach?
Pori's travel centre, the Matkakeskus, sits about 2 km from the site; every VR train to Pori runs via Tampere, and Onnibus and Matkahuolto coaches serve the city. Satakunnan Aitotaksi drives festivalgoers to and from the island: call 0600 300 33, send a WhatsApp message to 050 322 7165 or use the app. Pori lies 110 km from Tampere, 140 km from Turku and 240 km from Helsinki.
How long has Porispere been running?
The idea was born in Pori in November 2010 and the first edition took place in 2011, after Sonisphere left town. Only the 2020 edition was cancelled, because of Covid. Pori's entrepreneurs named the festival company of the year in 2023, and it received the Pori-palkinto award in 2024.
