📋About
Requiem Aeternam 2026: the death-doom metal festival in Leiden, Netherlands
Requiem Aeternam settles at Nobel in Leiden, an iconic venue of the Dutch metal scene, for an evening dedicated to death-doom metal. This intimate festival brings together five bands exploring the darkest and slowest territories of extreme music.
The 2026 lineup highlights three headliners: Graceless, Martyr, and Cyclone. The evening also welcomes Grindpad and Locura (NL).
The lineup focuses on death-doom, this subgenre that marries the crushing heaviness of doom with the growl and brutality of death metal. The compact format allows festival-goers to discover bands that favor oppressive atmospheres and slowed tempos, in a cathartic approach to extreme music.
Join us on March 14, 2026 at Nobel in Leiden for this celebration of European death-doom metal.
