In the heart of The Hague, Sniester stands as the refuge of the Dutch underground punk and garage rock scene. On May 22-23, 2026, the legendary Paard club hosts 38 artists embodying the DIY spirit and sonic radicalism. This boutique festival celebrates raw energy, limitless experimentation, and musical non-conformism in an intimate setting where each concert becomes a visceral experience.
The 2026 edition features a sharp selection from the international underground: Iguana Death Cult with their saturated psyche garage, Coilguns for industrial mathcore, and Deaf Club with their nervous post-punk. Bad Nerves brings their nervous power pop, Mudrat their abrasive noise rock, and Zig Zags their filthy garage punk. The local scene shines with Gespuys, Pauw, and iedereen.
Sniester embraces a radical sonic spectrum: hardcore punk, garage punk, indie rock, experimental, lo-fi, coldwave, and avant-garde. Touches of industrial, heavy metal, and electroacoustic complete a program that refuses labels and celebrates underground authenticity.
