Sonic Whip! 2026: the stoner and heavy psych festival in Nijmegen
An annual gathering of the Dutch stoner rock and heavy psych scene, Sonic Whip! takes over the Doomroosje club in Nijmegen on May 15th-16th, 2026. Featuring 13 bands, the event celebrates heavy, psychedelic, and instrumental sounds in an intimate club atmosphere.
The lineup brings together international genre references: THE SWORD, legends of Texan desert rock, Russian Circles, masters of instrumental post-metal, and Pelican, alongside EARTHLESS.
The lineup explores the territories of doom metal, sludge, and psychedelic rock, with touches of space rock, math rock, and post-rock. The atmosphere is immersive and contemplative, true to the spirit of European underground doom festivals.
