The 2026 Halloween Gathering runs on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026 at the Whitby Pavilion in Whitby, United Kingdom; the market stays open through Sunday 1 November.
How do you get to Whitby?
Whitby is most easily reached by car, but buses run frequently from York and Middlesbrough, and the town has a railway station (limited services, so plan ahead). The nearest airports are Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Doncaster Sheffield (about 2 hours' drive), with Manchester International the nearest large international airport (about 3 hours).
What accessibility provisions are there?
The Whitby Pavilion runs an accessibility register and has an accessible viewing platform and access to all areas. Free carer tickets are offered, limited to 24, bookable via the Pavilion Box Office. Stroboscopic effects are used, so people who are both epileptic and photosensitive should avoid the evening events.
What happens after the live music?
On Friday and Saturday nights, the live bands are followed by club nights (Carpe Noctum) running until 2am, for over-18s and included with the evening ticket.
Is there a market, and does it cost anything?
A gothic and alternative market with around forty traders takes place in the exhibition hall, Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Entry is free, with no evening event ticket required.
