Varangerfestivalen 2026: pop and indie in the far north of Norway

Varangerfestivalen takes place in Vadsø, in Finnmark, at the very north of Norway, on the shores of the Varangerfjord. This Arctic festival is one of Europe's most northerly cultural events, offering a programme of pop and rock.

The 2026 edition brings together 3 artists, headlined by Dagny, a recognised voice in Norwegian pop. She is joined by Katarina Barruk and nonne, representatives of a new Nordic generation.

The musical palette includes disco, electropop, synth-pop and dance-pop, with indie pop and synthwave touches. A compact but carefully curated programme, befitting the exceptional setting of the Varangerfjord.
