Carnaval 2026: Brazilian Spirit at Sonora Garden
Carnaval invades the Dutch Sonora Garden on February 14, 2026, for an explosive celebration of Brazilian techno and house music. This unique European festival brings together 9 artists among the hottest DJs from the São Paulo and Rio electronic scene, offering the Dutch public an authentic taste of the overflowing energy and sonic creativity that characterize the clubs and carnivals of contemporary Brazil.
The 2026 headliner is MOCHAKK, global phenomenon of Brazilian tech house whose tribal and hypnotic productions make the planet's biggest festivals dance. DJ and producer ANNA (BR) will bring her powerful and sophisticated minimal techno sets, while Ayla (BR) will spread her unique blend of progressive house and organic sounds.
The lineup also highlights the new generation of Brazilian producers with Brisotti and his groovy deep house explorations, Maz (BR) with his percussive approach to afro-house, and nocapz. representing new bass and experimental electronic waves. The roster is enriched by Ashibah and Viot Music.
The event also welcomes Dutch locals Buren van de Brandweer, creating a cultural bridge between European and South American electronic scenes. Between funk carioca rhythms, reinvented samba influences, and futuristic techno productions, Carnaval celebrates the diversity and innovation of Brazilian electronic music, offering an immersive evening where the festive carnival spirit meets the technical sophistication of modern underground clubs.
