📋About
The connoisseur's gathering in the Amsterdamse Bos
Few festivals shape electronic good taste quite like Dekmantel. For its 12th edition, running 31 July to 2 August 2026, the Amsterdam institution returns its stages to the heart of the Amsterdamse Bos, the woodland on the city's edge in the Netherlands. The bill, more than 160 artists deep, reads like a map of the currents that matter: Detroit Techno from pioneers Underground Resistance (billed alongside poet Saul Williams) and Juan Atkins, the hypnotic Dub Techno of Ricardo Villalobos, and the raw edge of Helena Hauff.
The event's signature lies in moments built for the initiated. According to DJ Mag, the 2026 edition unveils the new ON2 sound system, designed by NNNN and OJAS (Devon Turnbull), installed in the Greenhouse in place of the Sunflower Sound System. On Sunday 2 August, Call Super shares a marathon b2b2b2b set with Ben UFO, Objekt and Pariah — the kind of programming gamble few would risk.
Beyond the House and IDM the crate-digging crowd cherishes, the 2026 curation breaks the silos open: the crossover bass music of Skrillex sits beside the modular touch of James Holden. The official site also announces a morning strand, "Dekmantel at Dawn," stretching the forest programme across three twelve-hour days, rounded out by city nights at the Melkweg and Paradiso venues.
