Family Piknik 2026: electronic and techno festival in Pérols
Family Piknik is a summer event dedicated to electronic music, held in Pérols, in the Hérault department near Montpellier, southern France. With 65 artists across two days, it brings together a loyal community around a dancefloor-focused identity spanning electro, techno and house.
The 2026 edition features a strong international lineup. Key names include Étienne de Crécy, Oliver Huntemann, BLOND:ISH and Korolova, covering melodic techno, peak time and progressive house.
The musical palette stretches from deep house and electronica to hardcore techno and frenchcore, with a strong presence of dance and trance. Gabber and uptempo fans will also find their share.

When and where does the 15th edition take place?
Family Piknik celebrates 15 years on 1 and 2 August 2026 at the Parc des Expositions de Montpellier, Route de la Foire in Pérols (34470), with an opening concert on Friday 31 July from 6pm headlined by HVOB live.
How many stages are there?
Three: the Elrow Stage, the main stage run all weekend by the elrow crew, the Hard Stage by Organik and the Nomad Stage by Afterseason. All three sit in semi-covered areas sheltered from bad weather.
What are the daily opening hours?
Saturday and Sunday both run from noon until 2am. Ticket scanning stops at 11pm, and the 45 € day ticket requires arriving before 3pm — later arrivals pay a 10 € supplement at the box office.
Which station should I head for?
Montpellier Saint-Roch TGV station is 20 minutes away by tram: line 3 towards Pérols Parc Expo, last stop, 200 metres from the gate. From Montpellier Méditerranée airport, take tram 1 then change onto line 3. Amigo night buses run back into central Montpellier once the festival closes.
What is there to eat on site?
14 food truck stands cover burgers, pizza, kebab, Asian food, vegan dishes and desserts, with mains between 10 and 15 €. Bringing your own picnic is still allowed, several bars pour local beers and cocktails, and free water points are spread across the grounds.
Is the festival cashless?
The cashless card is optional: you can add 30 € or 50 € of credit (non-refundable) to your ticket and collect the card when your ticket is scanned. Every outlet also takes bank cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay; only cash has to be exchanged at the festival cashless bank.
Who gets in for free?
Accompanied children aged 6 to 14, visitors over 55, and people with reduced mobility holding a CMI card. Those entries are handled on the day at the box office desk, with no online booking. Pérols residents also get a limited quota of free places for the opening concert.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes — accessible entrances and toilets are provided throughout the site, and assistance dogs are among the very few animals allowed in. CMI card holders enter free of charge.
Is there a festival campsite?
No, the festival no longer runs its own camping area. Private campsites are close by, such as Camping Le Garden in Pérols (5 minutes by car) or La Tamarissière in Lattes; on the hotel side, the Ibis Budget Montpellier Pérols is a 5-minute walk from the Parc des Expositions.
Can I store my belongings?
Yes, lockers in three sizes are available on site.
