Les Vieilles Charrues 2026: the pop-rock festival in Carhaix, France
Founded in 1992, Les Vieilles Charrues has become one of France's largest music festivals, attracting over 280,000 festivalgoers each year over four days. Organized at the Kerampuil site in Carhaix, in the heart of Brittany, this iconic festival blends international pop and rock with a special focus on French-speaking artists.
The 2026 edition brings together 71 artists from July 16 to 19. Among the headliners: Katy Perry, Gims and Orelsan, alongside Interpol, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds and Vanessa Paradis.
The lineup covers a wide spectrum, from hip-hop to reggae, including French chanson and electro. Fans of folk, disco, and post-punk will also find plenty to enjoy, with a great balance between established acts and emerging talent.

When is the 2026 edition, and which edition is it?
Les Vieilles Charrues runs from Thursday 16 to Sunday 19 July 2026 at the Kerampuil site in Carhaix, France; it is the 34th edition.
Is there a campsite, and does it cost extra?
Access to the festival campsite is free (provided you hold a festival ticket) and booking is compulsory from June 2026. It is open from Thursday 16 July to Monday 20 July at noon and is reserved for tents only; vans, lorries and motorhomes are not allowed and must use the dedicated car parks.
What facilities does the campsite offer?
24/7 reception from Thursday to Sunday, dry toilets and showers (cold water only), a quiet zone, a snack bar (noon to 9pm), breakfasts from Friday to Sunday between 9am and noon, a 24/7 first-aid post, a safe zone, a Moneiz point and a free glass of milk each morning from the Poher farmers.
What is the nearest station, and are there shuttles?
Carhaix station is a 10-minute walk from the site entrance (TGV/TER connection at Guingamp). Free shuttles link the purple car park D to the station, and Poher Communauté also runs free shuttles between local towns, the station and the Vallée de l'Hyères campsite.
What time do the gates open?
The Park and Garden open at noon, and the concert area opens at 2:30pm.
Is the festival suitable for children?
A 50% discount applies to children up to age 14, with a dedicated access lane and ID checked at the entrance; the festival nevertheless strongly advises against bringing very young children due to the high sound levels.
What provisions are there for disabled visitors?
A dedicated accessibility box office provides easier check-in and wristband collection, a reserved car park and campsite close to the site, viewing platforms near the main stages, adapted toilets and showers, wheelchair charging points and induction loops. Proof of disability is required, and each ticket allows one carer with a valid ticket.
