Machaca 2026: the rock festival in Monterrey, Mexico
Machaca is one of northern Mexico's major festivals, dedicated to international rock and alternative pop. Held at Expo Feria Guadalupe near Monterrey, this annual gathering brings together 5 artists for a day of concerts celebrating the iconic female voices of the 90s and 2000s, in a nostalgic and festive atmosphere.
The 2026 edition features a 100% female lineup reuniting the defining voices of alternative rock and pop rock. Among the headliners: Garbage, pioneers of industrial rock and trip hop, Alanis Morissette, Canadian alternative rock legend, and The Cardigans, Swedish indie pop icons.
The programming explores 90s pop territories with Natalie Imbruglia and her emblematic post-grunge hit, while Lindsey Stirling brings a contemporary touch with her blend of classical crossover, dubstep, and electronica. A unique female celebration of alternative music.
