The Old But Gold Ü30 Hip Hop Festival celebrates hip-hop's golden age with a lineup exclusively dedicated to the legends who shaped 90s and 2000s rap culture. This 2026 edition brings together pillars of boom bap, conscious hip-hop, alternative hip-hop, and abstract hip-hop for a nostalgic and authentic evening reserved for those over 30.
The main stage will welcome absolute icons like Busta Rhymes, virtuoso of energetic flow, DE LA SOUL, pioneers of conscious and poetic rap, and KRS-One, professor emeritus of old school hip-hop. The festival will also unite Onyx, legends of New York hardcore rap, alongside Jeru the Damaja, DJ Premier disciple and pure boom bap master.
Contemporary R&B lovers will rediscover 112, iconic 90s vocal group, while Queen Omega brings her reggae-conscious touch. The evening will be punctuated by sets from DJ Viper, along with performances by Ray and Rayd, representatives of the new school respectful of the codes.

How many stages, and how many acts?
Two floors share the bill: the Mainfloor with Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, KRS-One, Treach of Naughty by Nature, The Pharcyde and Onyx (hosted by Viper & Ray G), and the Oldschool RnB Floor with 112, Shai and Queen Omega (hosted by Remake & Miss Pegah). Eleven live acts in total across the two stages.
What are the times on Saturday 1 August?
Doors at 12pm, music from 2pm, curfew at 11pm. Everything happens in a single open-air day.
Where exactly is the site?
At the Ex Maggi Areal – The Valley, Kemptpark 3, CH-8310 Kemptthal, 10 minutes from Winterthur and 20 minutes from Zurich.
Which station is closest?
Kemptthal station, just 70 metres from the venue. From Winterthur the S7 takes around 5 minutes; from Zurich allow 25 minutes via IC5 or IR75 to Winterthur then the S7, or the S24 to Effretikon then the S7. Between 1:15pm and 7:45pm the S12 adds extra stops at Kemptthal, twice an hour.
How do I get home afterwards?
Extra services have been laid on from 11pm: towards Zurich at 11:05pm, 11:09pm, 11:12pm, 11:28pm, 11:35pm and onwards until 1:38am; towards Winterthur at 11:04pm, 11:15pm, 11:20pm and likewise through to 1:38am.
Can I drive there?
Parking is very limited: you have to buy a parking upgrade in the online ticket shop, and once those sell out nothing is available at the gate. A taxi from Zurich takes about 15 minutes.
Is there food on site?
Yes, a large streetfood corner is set up on the grounds, billed as one of the day's three highlights alongside the 11 live acts and the open-air setting.
