📋About
Pori Jazz: Finnish Jazz Excellence
In mid-July, the Kirjurinluoto park in Pori hosts Pori Jazz, one of Northern Europe's most prestigious jazz festivals. Featuring 19 carefully selected artists, this gathering explores blues, afrobeat, disco, and contemporary R&B in a refined and accessible atmosphere.
The 2026 lineup brings together legends like John Legend, IMELDA MAY, alongside virtuosos such as Cécile McLorin Salvant, Fred Hersch Trio, Matteo Mancuso, and JALEN NGONDA. This selection illustrates Pori Jazz's commitment to quality and musical diversity.
Beyond concerts, the festival offers late-night jam sessions, conferences, educational workshops, and youth programming. The verdant park setting by the Kokemäenjoki river adds a bucolic and soothing dimension to this jazz celebration, also exploring art pop, baroque pop, and dance-pop.
For fans of jazz, soul, and African-American music, Pori Jazz remains a global reference. This Finnish festival celebrates nearly six decades of excellence and passion dedicated to the finest improvised music.
