Tønder Festival 2026: folk, country and traditional music in Denmark
Tønder Festival is one of Europe's most important folk and traditional music festivals. Organised since 1975 in Tønder, in southern Denmark near the German border, it draws musicians and acoustic music lovers from around the world each year.
The 2026 edition (25 to 29 August) features Emmylou Harris, an American country legend, and headliner John R Miller.
The programme covers country, traditional music, alternative country and blues, with country pop and country rock influences. A specialist festival that showcases folk expertise.
