Since its inception, Arctangent has established itself as the essential gathering for post-rock and progressive metal enthusiasts. Set at Fernhill Farm in Gloucestershire, this British festival welcomes an international community each year with a demanding lineup celebrating sonic experimentation and instrumental virtuosity. With 76 artists announced for 2026, the event confirms its status as a benchmark for fans of music that is both heavy and atmospheric.
The 2026 edition unites legends and essential figures of the genre: Primus, pioneers of funk metal, Napalm Death, monuments of grindcore, and Chelsea Wolfe, icon of atmospheric dark folk. Also featured are Cult of Luna, masters of post-metal, and High on Fire, pillars of stoner metal.
The lineup explores the most adventurous territories of rock and metal: post-metal, math rock, sludge metal, doom metal, black metal, mathcore, noise rock, shoegaze, industrial, avant-garde metal, crust punk, and progressive metalcore. This diversity reflects Arctangents DNA, valuing complex structures and immersive atmospheres equally, placing innovation at the heart of its identity.
