Extramuralhas 2026: dark folk and experimental music in Tomar, Portugal

Extramuralhas takes place at the Igreja da Misericórdia in Tomar, in central Portugal — a 16th-century historic church that gives the event a singular atmosphere. This three-day festival is dedicated to music of shadow and depth, spanning dark folk, experimental and atmospheric singer-songwriter.

The 2026 edition brings together 3 headline artists: Jolanda Moletta, Maud the Moth and Penelope Trappes — three female voices exploring dark ambient, baroque pop and ethereal wave.

The programme explores dark ambient, drone, ethereal wave and baroque pop, with shoegaze and avant-garde touches. An intimate festival for audiences drawn to deep sonic textures and twilight atmospheres.
