Jazz Tangentes 2026: experimental jazz and improvised music in Le Mans
Jazz Tangentes is a festival dedicated to the most exploratory forms of jazz, held in Le Mans, in the Sarthe department of the Pays de la Loire region. Over four days, 17 artists form a demanding programme between experimental jazz, improvised music and metal, with very affordable tickets between €5 and €10.
The 2026 edition features Melissa Weikart and Photons, artists representing the most adventurous edges of the experimental jazz and rock scene.
The musical palette is deliberately stretched between instrumental jazz, traditional doom metal, noise and free improvisation, with excursions into funk and soul. A programme that values sonic research and dialogue between distant genres.
