When is the London Jazz Festival 2026?
The EFG London Jazz Festival runs from Friday 13 to Sunday 22 November 2026, ten days of live music. It opens on 13 November with the Opening Gala: Jazz Voice.
Where do the concerts take place?
There is no single site: more than 300 shows are spread across the city, from basement jazz bars to major concert halls. The festival hub, The Jazz Social, runs for two weeks at City Point, 1 Ropemaker Street (EC2Y 9AW), a stone's throw from the Barbican Centre, with intimate gigs, live radio broadcasts and family activities.
Is there anything for children?
Yes. A Free and Family programme offers interactive events, many of them free: South Asian Jazz on 14 November, Sound Lines: Voice and Percussion on the 15th, Mix and Move on the 20th and Homegrown on the 22nd. The youngest can join Baby Jazz Club at The Jazz Social on 15 and 22 November.
How long has the festival been running?
It was founded in 1992 by Serious, the UK producer of jazz, international and new music that still produces it today. The 2024 festival was its 32nd edition.
How many people attend?
The organisers report an audience of over 100,000 across the festival, which works out at roughly 10,000 admissions a day over ten days. Treat this as approximate, since many people attend several shows and are counted more than once.
