Nuits du Sud 2026: reggae, soul and world music in Vence
Nuits du Sud is a world music and chanson festival held on the Place du Grand Jardin in Vence, in the Alpes-Maritimes department, a few kilometres from Nice. Over ten days, 13 artists present a sun-soaked programme between reggae, electronic music and Afro-Caribbean sounds, with tickets between €23.80 and €32.
The 2026 edition features Magic System, Danakil, Ben l'Oncle Soul and Véronique Sanson, a lineup rooted in warm popular music traditions.
The musical palette covers coupé-décalé, zouglou, zouk, maloya élektrik, funktronica, nu disco, contemporary R&B and chanson française. Brazilian MPB and house enrich these Provençal evenings under the stars.

When does Nuits du Sud 2026 take place?
The festival takes over Place du Grand Jardin in Vence for six open-air concert evenings, spread across two weekends: 9, 10 and 11 July, then 16, 17 and 18 July 2026.
What are the opening hours?
Doors open at 7:00 pm and the festival closes at 12:30 am. On concert nights, the box offices at the entrances (av. de la Résistance and av. Marcellin Maurel) sell fee-free tickets from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Is the festival free for children?
Yes, entry is free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult holding a ticket; a ticket is issued to them at the entrance on presentation of ID. Earplugs are recommended and a hearing-protection stand is on site.
Can I eat on site?
On site you'll find the restaurants of Place du Grand Jardin as well as food trucks selected for the occasion. The historic centre of Vence also offers many nearby restaurants.
Which station is closest?
The nearest station is Cagnes-sur-Mer, from where a bus or car-share connection is needed. On 10, 17 and 18 July, a shuttle links the Saint-Anne car park to the festival entrance from 7 pm to 1 am, departing every 20 minutes.
Is the site accessible for reduced-mobility visitors?
Yes, Place du Grand Jardin is accessible and the festival works with Handica Service: dedicated parking spaces, accessible toilets, a reserved platform to watch the concerts, a drop-off point (on request at 04 93 58 40 17), a wheelchair on site and guide dogs welcome.
Is there a campsite?
No: as the festival takes place in the heart of Vence, no festival campsite is provided. Hotels, guest houses and nearby campsites are offered through the Vence tourist office.
