Hiidenkirnu Festival 2026: Finnish Musical Celebration in Vihti
Hiidenkirnu Festival takes over Vihti's Nummelan Pesäpallostadion in Finland from July 10-12, 2026, for an eclectic celebration of Finnish and international music. This family-friendly festival brings together 9 artists representing the diversity of the Nordic pop, rock, and folk scene, in the friendly atmosphere typical of Finnish summer festivals where tradition and modernity meet.
The 2026 lineup blends local legends and international stars, with American icon Ani DiFranco, pioneer of engaged indie folk, and Michael Monroe, Finnish glam punk legend and former Hanoi Rocks singer. Hip-hop duo JVG represents the new wave of Finnish hip-hop, while Kuumaa brings their typically Nordic melancholic indie pop.
The festival also celebrates reliable fixtures of the Finnish pop scene with Anssi Kela and his touching rock ballads, Kaija Koo, undisputed queen of Finnish pop for three decades, and VIIVI representing the new alternative generation. The lineup is enriched by Frederik and Pihlaja.
Between country influences, blues sounds, and electronic experimentations, Hiidenkirnu Festival offers a complete panorama of contemporary Finnish musical culture. In the rural setting of Vihti and under the Nordic midnight sun, this festival celebrates artistic diversity with a lineup that honors both traditional suomi roots and the new indie and urban waves shaping the Finnish music scene of the 21st century.
